In Mark 10:2-12, we see that it's only if either of the couple dies that the other is permitted to marry someone else. So before God they are still married. Divorce to marry someone else is equivalent to committing adultery as long as the former spouse is alive. Jacob why sacrifice your eternity with God for pleasure? Of which I won't be surprised if what you ran away from in your previous marriage confronts you again in the next.

Now he married another woman who went to school at (BSSM) and that's where they met. And they have a son and another child on the way. What a mess he put himself in leaving and divorcing his wife for an adulterous relationship (because it's not a real marriage). This video here is his real marriage (til death to us apart).

I am haunted by this video - I remember watching it when Amanda and Jacob got married. I love her music and have been struck with pain by the lyrics of her new album "Nova". I can't imagine the pain she must have felt through a divorce from a Christ-centered relationship that started out like this. Every time I think about it, I ache deeply. For those of you who are burdened by the nature of her situation, please pray for full restoration of both of their hearts - that true beauty will come from ashes.

@@xxFairestxx That can be inferred from the outcome, but who is to say it did not begin as Christ-centered? the choices we make to continue to move towards Christ are daily.... the minute I stop making that choice I begin to backslide.

I would agree with this. In a video (now deleted) he admitted to having emotional affair(s) with other women- and yet said it wasn’t “his” fault the marriage failed because she chose to leave. At some point I followed him and Amanda on Instagram and I made a comment on a story of his and he immediately began to talk with me- even sending me voice messages which I found strange for a married man. I discontinued talking to him, but he’s cycled through at least two beautiful, “godly” and popular women since the divorce and has married the latest one - after dating for only a few months. It sounds like a classic cycle of lovebombing and entrapment he’s using.
He's really twisted in the head...I don't trust the man ever !!!

Because marriage is holy. The catholic church always (and now is) protecting the sacrament and say, if they were married and slept with each other, if the holy bond between them happened, you can never separate one flesh. That's because remarriage is unthinkable. Because it hinders the two partners to come back together. For my church (I converted because this made so much sense to me and because I love that they are trying to let people know that marriage is holy) they will always be married. For the church he remarried in an earthly way, but he is not married to the new woman. He is married still to Amanda and we can't except that, cause there needs to be the possibility that they come together again.

AA follows this belief that you can't do anything to overcome your weakness without a higher power and the success of that program doesn't change if your god is Jesus or a stuffed teddy bear. If christianity was the real deal it would cause a change in people that draws people to it. The reality is far different. Sad this didn't work out but you praise god for it at the beginning and question god and play blame games when it fails, typical christian response. How cynical and judgemental. True faith in Jesus does not question Him, nor play 'blame games' either with God or with your spouse/partner. Christianity IS the real deal...if your faith is true. @@scales57 I've been to Jerusalem, Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of the Spanish inquisition and quite a number of other countries few will ever get to travel. What I learned from meeting people all over the world is everyone believes what they're programmed to believe and many don't even have a chance to hear something different than what they were taught. One thing about everyone is they are adamant what they believe is the truth whether Christian, Muslim, Jew or something else. I reject the new testament not by choice but because the condition of belief for salvation, John 3:16, puts most of the world into eternal damnation by default and if god was love he would just stop allowing humans to be born just so most wouldn't die and suffer forever as per new rule of new testament. Strangely, the Jews never believed in heaven or hell. It wasn't until Jesus came those concepts emerged. If there was no heaven or hell what did Jesus come to save people from? Death? nope. i prayed for some good Christians that still died. I don't get to choose what i believe or don't believe but experience has changed my mind without asking my permission.

I would never get a marriage license or agree to be monogamous. Jacob God gave 4 wives, David and Solomon and Abraham all plural families. Exodus 21:10 much about sex and marriage today in the church is not biblical

I just know smthing not good today..No wonder, i feel smthing weird with what i see, but i cant really figure out what it is actually. I cannot hold my tears, hearing Amanda saying "Thank you for pursuing the heart of God in order to find me". I am sad. 😭😭 i am still blessed and touched with the whole things i see in this video as how i feel the 1st time i watch it long time ago. It personally blessed me so much from within. they didn't share the reason... but Jacob said that they've been going through this process of separation for about three years.. a process that culminated in divorce. He also said that he's aware that God hates divorce and that he hates it too... :(

lois lane the best thing to do in painful public situations like these is to pray for people instead of asking questions. Ultimately, God knows better than we do & all we can do is ask God to cover their lives during this difficult & painful time. 🙏
